Porsche 911GTR Kit Review

This was a 1/32nd scale model made by Hornby. It was quite simple to build as it is aimed at the younger model maker or the beginner. It came with a small tube of glue, a paintbrush and the primary paints necessary to complete the kit.

The instructions were very clear and easy to understand, as there were only 7 stages to assemble the car excluding painting. I actually built the model with a lot more detail than in the instructions, mainly in the car interior, wheels, engine & exhaust. This was done as I wanted the finished model to look better than it would have, if I had only used 3 different colours.

The decals were the usual water released type, however, the 2 decals for the sides of the car were quite big and required a lot of adjustment to get into position. Apart from that, the decals went on fine and look great.

Overall a great model, despite being a simple kit it was fun to build and looks good when finished.

I would give this 7/10
