Research your model for authenticity

How to research your model

When making a model kit, it is well worth spending some time doing research so that you can make your finished model as authentic as possible.

There are a number of ways that you can do this:-

Books – If you are building a model of something that interests you (and you should be), you may already have some books on the topic. Alternatively check out your local library.

Internet – This is probably the best place to find specific pictures or information about the model you are making.

If you are building an older or classic car, here are some useful links:-

For older or classic bikes try:-

If you still cannot find what you are looking for, do a search in Google for the model, year etc, or find a discussion forum related to whatever you are building, and post a question letting people know you are looking for some pictures, you will be amazed how helpful they can be.

This should set you on the way to creating a finished model that is as authentic as possible.
